The Montreal Ice Ballet can perform almost anywhere.

We have our own portable, real-ice system, which can be installed by our team of experts.

Depending on the size of the room available, we can adjust the size of our ice floor.

 Creating portable ice requires 600 volt tri-phase compressors (100 amps). The compressors allow a special antifreeze to travel through a carpet of tiny tubes installed on top of a swimming pool liner. Our technicians then cover the carpet with fine layers of water over 48 hours, which freezes to a very high quality ice surface.

This synthetic surface offers many advantages, such as a short set-up and take-down time as well as its advantages to a wide range of performance spaces. Very simple to put together, this plastic surface is made up of one meter square pieces of special plastic that connect together like a puzzle. It takes only 3 hours to set up and 1.5 hours to dismantle
